I took this photo from a tour boat near Downtown Miami. This was a two-hour FIU "New Faculty" cruise around Biscayne Bay in February 2017. Had we been marooned, we'd have had many "professors" among us, but few, if any, "millionaires." This is not how the skyline looked when I was growing up, and it has changed a lot more in the nearly six years since that morning.
